In the early 2000’s, Radu Bulbuk, founder of Sardonyx, was a tile and flooring installer in the greater Portland metro-area. As he honed his skills in the industry and planted roots with his family, who had immigrated from Ukraine, a dream took shape to start his own family business. With loads of bravery, a wealth of experience, a huge support system, and one heck of a work ethic, he started Sardonyx in the tenuous economic year of 2008.

Sardonyx started as one business (Sardonyx, Inc.) specializing in labor and install. As Sardonyx, Inc. evolved and developed an esteemed reputation, the dream of Sardonyx broadened. Four of Radu’s brothers got on board as co-owners, and the desire to open up a second company took shape. Sardonyx Flooring & Design was born in 2017, bringing on Emily Davids, Interior Designer and Internal Project Coordinator. Sardonyx Flooring & Design provides a showroom, material supply, design consultation, and general contractor services. Sardonyx has continued to grow, expanding our field crew and adding showroom staff to assist with our growth and provide top notch business services to match the quality of our install.

Just like the multilayered sardonyx gemstone, Sardonyx incorporates multitudes of steps in the new construction and remodel process.
